Dim Sum Lunch

Next on the agenda was lunch.  It’s not like something as minor as near death is going to cause us to miss a meal.  To get there, we got on a BOAT to go to a “FLOATING RESTAURANT”.

This did not bode well.

Except the boat only went about 100 yards to the restaurant, which was floating about as much as a cruise ship in dock.  That is to say, it wasn’t moving.

And our guide helped order enough food for 8 people, including corn and crab soup, spring rolls, duck dumplings (or something like that), Dim Sum, little rice packets that had duck and mushroom in them, and scallops with vegetables.

And thankfully, a glass of water for me.

I nibbled.  I bet it was very good.  But everything is situational.

And I was focused on how to get back to the hotel without crawling in another #(@*&$(*@& cab.

Nope.  Can’t do it.

EB's post-script -- lunch was actually fantastic.  Sorry LJ hit to sit that one out.
